Shish male lions

Elephant chases a hippo while the Lions just look on at the scene.

"We were filming up in the Kruger. We drove along and saw an elephant drinking water and a hippo approaching the elephant to get to the water. After a few seconds, the elephant noticed the hippo approaching and gave chase. As the hippo turned to run away it slipped and fell but the elephant did not charge to injure the hippo, just to chase it away from his water. Once the hippo fell we noticed 2 heads in the background lift up. To our delight, it was 2 very large Male lions. After watching this for a few minutes we heard another roar 200m past the first 2 male lions. To our delight we noticed another 2 big male lions appear out of nowhere. We focused on the 2 pairs of lions for a while and then noticed the hippo trying to return to the water from the other side of the elephant. All the while, the 2 lions in the far background was keeping a close eye on what was going on. The elephant would have absolutely none of it and it chased the hippo up the embankment again and away from the water. The elephant then returned to the water and continued to splash itself and drink while the 2 pairs of male lions just continued to watch from a very safe distance. This was truly a memory the Wild World Team will never forget"
