There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

There are a lot more factors in these sorts of things beyond numbers.
What position are the coalitions in.. Are they nomadic or territorial? Who is the attacker and who is the defendant? What are the stakes for each groups and what are they fighting about? What's the health of the lions? Are they experienced fighters? Do they move as a group or tend to scatter? Does the terrain favour one group? Are there escape opportunities?
And even then luck is a factor. A lucky swipe at a bad spot can kill the most experienced fighter.
Its hard to predict unless they actually fight. Offcource the odds are a lot harder to overcome when your rival has a clear numeral advantage.
But I would not compare coalitions just on their name alone.
As for the Selatis. If memory didnt fail me, they were seen with wounds afterwards. So splintered as they may be, at zero hour of the takeover they fought as a group.
