Not sure status of his brother/partner, he was seen in not so great shape months ago.
These guys were speculated to be sons of Mluwathi males. Also if I remember correctly they had Napi mega pride under their control, 20+ memebers with at least 5 YMs, any updates on them?
" Some stories about male lion, simply doesn't need any words, and when it comes to Gomondwane Tank, there's very little words to describe this magnificent male lion...
After more that three months, he's been seen in great shape! The Mighty Tank is back!!!
This morning early, reports came through, that a male lion was giving territory roars in the direction Tank was last seen, far south. Upon arrival, the rangers found Gomondwane legend Tank, in great shape! It's almost a day and night difference, as opposed to this last sighting, where he was involved in a possible male lion fight, hence his injuries, or even worse, sick.......
It was such a relief, as they could hear him roar for his two brothers, Splitnose and Blondie. I'm convinced, that tomorrow, they will all be together again! The mighty Gomondwane males, back together, what a title that would be to write! "
These are the S143 males who rule by Mopani. They first appeared as sub adults in the Phalaborwa area chasing around the two Masorini males. They later would move closer to Mopani where they now dominate two prides. One pride has 4 females and 6 cubs and the other pride has 4 females and 13 cubs.
