The description is:
While we were watching the 3 Gomondwane males with the lioness, the 2 Shishangeni males arrived out of nowhere and chased the Gomondwane males who initially retreated a few times however they eventually went in and confronted the Shishangeni males. We could hear an intense battle deep in the bush and then what sounded like the sound of a lion in distress.

Due to the fight occurring deep in the bush, the outcome of the fight is still uncertain however after about an hour 2 of the 3 Gomondwane males emerged roaring and marking territory with a lot of blood on their faces and legs.

The full story will hopefully come to light in the next few weeks but it may be the beginning of the end of the legendary Shishangeni males reign...time will tell. Reply

Judging by the blood, somebody got hurt. Think the 2 shishangeni caught 1 gomondwane?... Then the other 2 gomondwane broke it up then got hold of 1 shishangeni? Would explain why only 2 gomondwane were seen afterwards Reply

until there is a sighting of the shishangenis, it's hard to say what could have happened, the third male gomondwane may have simply left with the female, as she was not seen either, from the amount of blood it looks like something serious happened but I hope it hasn't taken to the end of none of them Reply
