There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Sad news indeed. Had high hopes for them. They should have left as soon as the 6th male was killed.

were the young vurhamis killed sired by this Lion ?

No, the Shishangaan's sired them. They are half-brothers of the 3 Mjejane males.

Vurhami males
So from talking to some more people at Mjejane and some other people . One died the one we all saw the video of . Leaving 5 . Two disappeared Mjejane thinks they are dead but that Is just assumpition by them. Leaving 3 . One was seen killed last Tuesday. Then two were seen leaving mjejane. That means there’s a chance there is 4 even though Mjejane doesn’t have much hope. 4 young males have been seen around Shishangeni males territory all images and videos are blurry so it doesn’t help. Also the fact that there are 4 hippo pools males running around too,  it makes it more hard . So yeah until we see the vurhamis again there is still hope of four. Plus there was that guy who was seen on the rhino carcass for a week who was confirmed the 7th vurhami who has not been seen in some weeks too. So yeah very unclear right now on the vurhami numbers

Thats exactly what i said, that after 1 was killed on that video, 2 disapeared from Mjejane, leaving them 3 in Mjejane and now apperantly 1 more was killed, leaving 2 that moved out..

So theres possibility that are still 4 alive.. Shishangeni males just few days ago chased 4 males out of their territory might be Vurhamis who tried to come back to their natal pride..

Are Hippo pools males already nomadic? They look too young to me..
