There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

h1-3 area north of kumana dam around sweni I guess. Not sure if they rule a pride. All I have on them is this pic of them years ago by umar daya on S126 welverdiend. And these other 2 pics taken near kumana dam 2021 by Corlia. And I remember a sighting of all 5 of them chasing some lone male in 2021 posted on Facebook that was around south of h6.

Perhaps if its a pride we ahould be more careful as those can easily hang around for decades. But a lion named Flintstone sounds just adorable to me.

He's already been called Madala Mluwati male after the concession named by the rangers/guides there. We don't need a stupid name made by some youtuber who doesn't know them and that doesn't relate to the lion at all. It's not adorable it's ridiculous

Offcource if a lion already has a proper name that should be respected.

I was just pointing out that those names are not worse than the countless of Scars, Simbas, Darkmanes or Flappy Ears etc out there.

names based on territories or specific places where males have passed still seem the best option, despite sometimes being confused with so many Mazithi / tshokwane for example

Much like his father, Socha and his partner Hosi although not brothers by blood are very successful and have reigned for over 4 years now and their River pride has over 30 members with their older sons already departed to begin their own reign.

Do you know the history on Hosi?

Nobody really knows anything about Hosi, only thing is he apparently came from Balule area same as Socha/Impalabos but no idea what pride or who sired him.

I dont think he is that old, he's a speculared half-brother of Ubuso and Matshapiris, Id say old LubyeLubye male 13-14 yrs old max. If hes any older  his fathers the Old Nkuhlus would need to have been dominant males for 6+years, i dont think they were dominant for that long
