There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Only "logical" (althrough very unusuall) explaination for this is that they are starting to accept him in a coalition, but we would need to see if this continues.
Otherwise there is no other reason for Ross males to tolerate almost 5 yrs old male with a pride (on kills, near females and cubs) especially as we know their history and that we know that Ross males already oust and dont tolerate young subadults gruop, who are not even 3 yrs old..
Somebody said that they might not wanna risk a serious fight with him, but i disagree, they still wouldn't be territorial males if they are affraid to fight 1 young male, and its 2 vs 1, they could easily attack him and even kill him if they want..
I guess age of Ross males age is also factor here, almost 11 yrs old, if they where few years younger situation would prob be different, as they might figure out that having another male around at this stage might be useful..
