There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
So it looks like the recent mothers are not the mothers of any of the sub adults. They are both younger females.... the one with the three cubs is a middle-aged lioness.
I think the white gene is only carried by the oldest lioness.
Also, this is such a long shot so it’s probably never going to happen....but since the white gene exists with the Birmingham Pride and also the Avoca (giraffe pride) family tree, it is possible that the cubs born to the Northern Avocas and the Birmingham Pride granddaughters from the Nkuhuma Pride could produce a white cub. It’s such a slim chance but there is that very distant change it could.
