Both are quite tall as well.
Tigers have longer necks and a head that hangs low, they crouch more often and they have more massive limbs. All of this is going to give the impression of a "shorter animal" but that is why we only go off of data. Obviously both cats are just about equal in shoulder height.

The first video was a female amur and she is very tall.
The second video is a male.
I think both these animals were affected by Canine Distemper virus.

Wow, I thought the first video is a male. Extremely large and tall cat. The 2nd one seemed to be a youngster who lost his way. The first one definitely looked sick, but I was hoping they tranqed the 2nd to relocate it.

Wow, great videos Pckts, I did not know that the first video was from a female tiger. Damn, that a pretty tall tigress!!!

About the second video, that is the young male (c.3 years old; 159 kg) that died from Canine Distemper. Sadly that this illness is affecting the few Amur tigers that still live in the wild.

By the way, look how large he looks when he was with the car, but after its capture, we can see that in fact, he is a very small male.

He looked pretty large, but the female to me still looks like the more tall and long tiger, oddly enough. But the other one definitely looked juvenile to me,  so it still had some room to grow. But would probably be right around the 200kg mark which seems to be standard for todays Amur tigers.
Sad that he died.

Dear Tiger Lovers,

Today we have immense pride in introducing the most feared one of all, the Kuwalji Male, Fateh (T-42). Fateh in Hindi language means Victory. This is part 1 of his lifestory. Please take your time to go through his journey. Named after the Father of Ranthambhore, the late Fateh Singh Rathore, Fateh is known to possess a bad temperament. Fateh not only has a reputation of charging at vehicles, but also has the dubious distinction of charging a vehicle in hot pursuit for 2 Kilometres at a stretch !!!

Born in 2006-2007 in a litter of 3 cubs to Tigress Husnaara (T-30) and father Jhumroo (T-20), adulthood forced Fateh to separate from his family and travel all the way to the Devpura & Kuwalji area (in the southernmost fringes of the park) sometime in early 2010 to carve out a territory for himself. While his brother Surjan (T-43) chose an adjoining area, sister Sharmilee (T-44) was trans-located to Sariska.

Although known for poor density of ungulates / prey species, Kuwalji already had 2 young resident Tigers, siblings T-36 Male & T-37 Female. Presence of villages on the periphery and stray cattle in abundance had historically made Tigers of Kuwalji to almost survive exclusively on cattle diet. Male Tigers are fiercely territorial and Fateh is no different. In October 2010, he killed the resident male T-36 in a brutal fight and took over the territory. However, fate had something else in store for him. Stay tuned for part 2 of his story !

Part 2
Dear Tiger Lovers,

This is final Part of the Life story of the Kuwalji Male of Ranthambhore, Fateh (T-42). Please take your time to go through his journey. Here is the link if you missed Part-2 : https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...=1&theater

It took a grieving Fateh almost 6 months to get over the loss of his Lady Love and he seemed to have got back to leading a nomadic life all over again. He kept wandering around perhaps in search of Meera and was seldom sighted by tourists. Needless to say, an occasional sighting or two culminated in a bone-chilling charge.

Just when the people of Kuwalji had lost hopes of Fateh ever getting a mate again Mother Nature played her part to perfection.

In Mid-January 2014, life seemed to come back a full circle for Fateh when a beautiful young fully grown Tigress (believed to be daughter of the Indala Tigress) wandered into Kuwalji in search of new territory and hopefully a mate. Although Fateh did seem to have spurned her invitation initially, the new female seems to be resilient enough to become his Queen and thereby revive the Kuwalji clan once again.

Thus begins another journey for Fateh, the King of Kuwalji. Will he finally get over Meera, embrace love again and sire the next generation of the world’s most enigmatic cats remains to be seen. Three cheers to the King !!!

Uffff, poor guy, this is what young male tigers suffer in they search for territory. Tigers need to fight in order to get a territory, just a completelly ignorant (cog.. cog.. BoldCh..) can say that tigers do not fight.

Those are serious injures, but tigers are known to recover very well from even worst cases. If he rest for a few time, he will be well in a few days and ready for a next round.

@Guate --> Well said Guate.

@Pckts --> It is a latest pic of him. Im quoting the photographers words here "Followed the pugmarks expecting to see the Sukhi Patiha female for more than 45 min. Though we could not spot her, we came across the famous blue eyed male instead. This was during a morning safari in the Magadhi zone one fine morning in March 2014. This tiger will always be special to me as he was the first tiger I ever spotted, back in November 2012. He was quite badly bruised and still limping. Also an important observation that one of his hind leg was much thinner than the other one. Hope he recovers well to regain his abandoned territory as there seems to be more activity in this area."

Nice info Apollo. I wonder who got into it with the blue eyed male.

Who would dare fight Jai, if jai has those wounds I would love to see what the other tiger looks like, if he is alive that is.

How old is Wagdohs daughter?
Waghdoh is a minimum of 3-4 times her size. IMO
