Its soo funny you would say that, because I have always been a tiger fan but the more I learn of both the more I have come to love both equally. I will say there is something special about a male tiger, especially one as beautifully built as Bamera but I think if we weren't so spoiled with male lions it would be a different story. I love them both, powerful in their own ways and intimidating as it gets. Reply

haha yeah I know, I was just watching today and just thought those monsters are just as awesome and majestic as lions. I think much has been ruined, by people loving lions/tigers and hating lions/tigers spreading love stories about one and dissing the other one, that has made me so mad over the years. it's not the animals fault. it's just fanatics who wants to win an argument about who is the strongest, and biggest that does say everything he can to win.
those two animals are the greatest symbol of the wild there is.  

kinda wanna thank Wildfact for taking away negative focus, and rather focus on how great all species are in their own way. Reply

I will say that the cubs and noor still seem uneasy with each other, you can see submissive behavior from the cubs towards noor and once T57 stands up for a bit, all eyes are on him.
Time will tell if this peace will last, but it almost seemed like noor was communicating with them that it may be time to leave the nest. 
I hope it all works out, they are as large as their mother at this point so it wouldn't be a death sentence if they left the nest.

I think the fact that she bred with him makes it easier for him to accept the cubs, as long as they submit to him, give way during feeding and not try to "play" with him like they would their father, it could work out.

Thanks @Pckts Bamera is just amazing, nd probably my favorite have a soft spot for his father also aswell as Munna, but those new males aswell looks great Bheema does look very special, has The potensial to become an iconic tiger! Which tiger was it that forced Bamera out? 

Yeah I saw The picture of B2 yesterday and thought wow long time no see aswell thought it could bring back some great memories for other big cat lovers aswell!

Back in 2008, when i started blogging about Bandhavgarh tigers. there were only four males present that we would ocassionally hear about Bokha, B2, Bamera and Panpatha. Out of the 4 males.  B2, Bokha and Bamera rocked the sightings everywhere, then a few years later. Mukunda and Blue eyes held it down equally and this was the beginning of a new chapter. Jobhi also came in the picture and terrorized Bamera, along with every tiger he cane in contact with. Jobhi was unbeatable for well over 2 years. ofcourse. Who wouldnt want a chunk of Bamera's territory after Jobhi snatched a significant amount. Rahasy and the Mahaman boy started pressuring Bamera as well. Bamera striked back and managed to drive Rahasy out of his domain in the monsoons of 2013. Mahaman boy also disappeared within this time. Nobody knows what happened to them and after a little while. Bamera's two sub adult male cubs that were reaching adulthood started pushing him off bounds and with the combined effort of both. Bamera had no option but to leave. Now however, Bandhavgarh landscape is alot different and there is presence of atleast 11 males within the tourism zone. Out of the 11 adult males, only about 5 are residents and the rest are just power hungry and willing to get their hands dirty if they need to. Honestly, as a male tiger. Bamera alone faced far more challenges than Wagdoh, B2, Bokha, Munna and even Raja. Hes now almost 12 and he is still a warrior. Big and powerful as always but just not in his prime anymore. Reply

Wagdoh and Madhuri's entire crew has moved deep inside the Bufferzone and unfortunately, as much as i hate to say this. we might never see him again. Lets hope im wrong. Reply

Nice write up, you think Bamera has faced more challenges than Munna?

I'd be curious to lay both out and the results and see the outcome. I think munna is the more victorious one but I bet total fights with different tigers would be close. Reply
