Apparently, there had been an attempt to rewild Asiatic lions in Semiwild at Etawah Safari & Breeding Centre (sorry, no updates).

This male doesn't look like one of them, though...

Rishi, what do you think, taking into account current pray base and quantity of homeless cattle in Gujarat what is the maximal number of lions Gujarat could feed nowadays - 600, 700, 1000 ? Do you think lions can colonise all territory of that Indian state eating just domestic cattle or that's not enough?

Nice find @Pckts. I could be wrong, but this one seems to be Raju whose pic is on the Wikipedia page of Asiatic lions.

Nice find @Pckts. This one seems to be the elder of the legendary "Kokhra brothers".
His pic is on the Wikipedia page of Asiatic lions.

Yes, (atleast, so says Wiki)..
This 2016 census report (CLICK TO READ) says there are 1400 leopards & 300 sloth bears in all Gujarat. I'm not sure how many of them dwell in Gir.

& please don't ask about lion-bear interactions...I don't know.  Whistle
I'm looking into it.

@peter

Do you have information about Asiatic Lion and Sloth Bear interactions? I have never seen information about their interactions.

I did some searching on it before.
All that i know is Gir has sloth bears. How many??..No idea.
Even if you Google it, you won't find images or sighting reports of sloth bears in Gir. It's very... confusing, to say the least.

@Rishi
Thanks a lot my Friend, hope you can find good information soon.
