There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Quote:The OP's reasoning went like this: "Opinion of Europeans >>Opinion of Asians because I think Europeans are of superior intellect compared to Asians." Basically implying that Asians aren't smart enough. Or stupid, in other words.
No. What he said was that europeans had a higher education, which then had an influence on the "better judgement". Even in today's modern world, people who have access to higher levels of education prove to develop "better judgement" than other people. Not always, but generaly this is true.
That's all he said. It maybe right or it might be wrong, but you alone choose to take offense at this statement. There was nothing offensive with it.
Quote:Now, I could go ahead and post a detailed argument, but there are a few problems with that approach:
1) This is not a history forum.
Many posters here, like brotherbear, peter or even myself have written history related things, which stayed in topic of course. If it stays in the topic, I don't see the problem with it, especially when the thread is named Animals and the cultures that worshipped them.
Quote:2) Asia is the biggest continent on earth, it's history, the cultures and civilizations it gave birth to are too diverse and immense for people with pea sized brains to understand and comprehend.
3) You might like to debate with ignorant bigots, I don't.
More ad-hominems. I thought I said you quit it...
Quote:4) When, and with whom I choose to have an argument, is entirely my prerogative.
Yeah, not really.
This is a forum and has its rules. Particularly, this section has its specific rules, a couple of which you're ignoring.
