Another successful reintroduction of jaguars into the wild, following works in the Pantanal and Ibera wetlands, this time in Mexico:
On March 11, the successful liberation of Nicté Ha and Celestún Petén was achieved.
These rescued jaguar sisters traveled through wetlands and flooded jungle, like a surreal dream, to arrive to our Wildlife Simulator: Tropical Unit in Quintana Roo, southeast of Mexico. As you know Celestún Petén and Nicté Ha are two females that are contributing to strength the genetic pool of the wild jaguar populations in this region, the north of the Peninsula de Yucatán. The legacy of these sisters goes further than only liberation, the facilities build to ran their rewilding program will serve in perpetuity to Mexico in order to attend future cases of rescued jaguars and neotropical felines with genetic viability of liberation. Here we let you a little tribute to these golden goddesses, these images were taken by the Federal Government - Fonatur and are part of an original video that you can find in their social media.
