There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"Good afternoon
Largest male we weighed was 235 kg on an almost empty stomach. Female was 180 kg, stomach almost empty. Regards"
Next , I asked him from which region of Botswana do these specimens specifically belong to and if he can share any more weights of lions he's immobilized . Following was his response : "Hi
These lions were in the Okavango Delta. I remember only the two heaviest lions. regards"
I'm happy that we finally have some weights for Okavango Delta lions but at the same time , we just know the heaviest specimens recorded there. Hopefully , in the future , these researchers will share further data on the body mass and body measurements of these lions.
Huge female. If you can, try and get some body measurements as well.
Always nice to have free ranging wild Lion weights.
