There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

This is a reporter relaying the same story.
DB Tech and Travel has nothing to do with the capture.
You need verifiable sources who actually participated in the capture and alleged measuring. Forest Department, Vet, Capture team, etc.

lol , looks like alok pathak is not on social media , okk you should visit satpura to see it , if its bigger than matka then its 230kg .
Pathak never stated his size, did he?
You’re confusing the article with actual quotes from a person.
And why would you think Matka is close to that size?

naah i don't think they will quote a fake figure its most likely forest team  told them , 230kg is possible  and not a very high figure , if girth is 134-136cm then it must be like that ,even if it ate the bait goat then it would be like 220-223 kg empty . on hotstar there is a documentary on matka  in which it being said matka is a 500lbs tiger . thats a estimate ,i think matka could be 220 becoz he is bigger than gabbar ,see both gabbar and matka with maya . gabbar weighted 185kg in summer in bad shape , in peak condition gabbar must be like 200-210kg .

Of course they do, they do it all the time. TOI is known to do that.
Again, quoting media outlets estimates mean nothing. Matka is small, who knows if he was bigger than Gabbar or not, but regardless he's a small male. The idea that Gabbar must be 200-210 isn't factual, he was weighed in a healthy condition and his weight was his weight.
well if u see both gabbar and matka with maaya u would know this , matka is noticebly bigger .its not rocket science here , people can easily found it  there are videos of gabbar and matka with maya . gabbar was collared after he fought matka and in summer . here is gabbar immediately few days after collaring

These are baseless claims. Would you say Matka was larger than Katezari or Saturn, Matkasurs father?
Because Gabbar fought both and was close in size to both. Gabbar was also a more muscular Tiger in comparison. Matka is small, he’s not big framed but he was bulky in his prime. He’s not going to dwarf Gabbar by any stretch. Gabbar also gave Matka his busted nose when they used to call Matkasur, Pandu. Gabbar mated with Maya after his win.

I’m regards to your claim that 220kg is easily obtained by a male Tiger, that’s not the case. If you’re talking about Empty then that’s really not the case. And with Matkasurs small stature I’d say it’s very likely he was around 200kg at best, especially without a full belly.

matka beat him back  , gabbar never came back again.

they had 3 prominent rounds with each other, Matkasur originally took charge from him. Summer 2016, Gabbar came back and won round 2 but he lasted until Aug 2016 and was defeated for good. he was never seen again after this. Matkasur later went on to rule all of the former areas previously ruled by Namdev, Katezari and Gabbar.
