Modern weights and measurements on wild tigers

The first tiger (measurements listed) comes from the northern region. The source, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that the tiger was measured using a cloth tape which was pressed all along the contours. They do not have crane scales to weigh animals in field.

The second one comes from Central India (probably Maharashtra side) and confirmed to me by two senior researchers from WII.

Do the WII researchers not know where the 280kg Tiger was weighed?
Can you also elaborate their participation with that Tigers capture?


1st Tiger is huge, even over the curves.

Both are close in body length and height when converted from Pegs to Curves. The major difference is Chest Girth. The Northern male has an absolutely massive chest, all things considered he'd be a record male and most likely over 600lbs no doubt.
