An opinion of mine is, I´ve noticed most of these stray non territorial rescued tigers are usually in the range of 170-190 kg. Meaning being in this weight range probably puts them at a disadvantage for competition with other males. This tells how intense the competition between male tigers is. If it´s a male tiger under 190, 200 kg, it will most likely get displaced.

Generally any Tiger forced to live on the outskirts where they must risk human conflict is usually old, sick or just unable to hold a prime territory. You see this quite often in well known reserves. Wagdoh, Munna, Uma, bamera  etc. once they’re defeated and forced into the buffer they never regain their old territory and sometimes even become problem cats. Reply
