Looks to be as narrator says, that he dropped the baby gorilla on purpose, silverback didn´t look to be in good mood and he was looking to come to get that baby gorilla. If you read books of Dian Fossey she has described how problematic and violent it can be when trying to get gorillas to accept a young gorilla, which isn´t member of the group. Reply
