Satkosia TR has human settlements? I could be wrong but I read somewhere that these tigers are relocated to core area (no humans) of satkosia, didn't they? but Sundari attacked 2 people may be she herself came out of the core area and got into conflict with humans.

Odisha FD inefficieny to curb poaching is very bad, it ended prev tiger population in Satkosia, now Mahav(b)ir. Hope this female is protected well atleast until new tigers are shifted to mate with her.

and @Rishi, Satkosia (mixture of both) comes under both Central (Deccan) and Eastern Ghats. It is located where the Mahanadi River passes through a 22 km long gorge in the Eastern Ghats mountains. It is of the Eastern Highlands moist deciduous forests ecoregion. Nothing wrong in posting this there (Eastern Ghats tiger).

Ok so, the resident Satkosia female (already presented not brought by translocation, only one left who didn't become victim to poaching in those 10 tigers of 2010) left. Total Tiger Population of Satkosia = 1. Great! Reply
