There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Dolphins and Porpoises get destroyed by similar-sized sharks. A predatory shark's weaponry, power and durability is on another level from whales, Orca's etc...
There's a very good reason all, if not most marine animal experts/scientists have unanimously agreed to the Megalodons superiority and sheer dominance over all of history's marine predators. It was the UNDISPUTED lord of the ocean. Not just my words, but the words of tons of experts.
Also, an Orca pod very rarely, if ever even attacks or challenges a Bull sperm whale, and you expect them to pose a threat to the far more deadlier Megalodon? Are you serious? I would very confidently even put my house on the line, that if an Orca pod senses a Megalodon approaching, the Orca's are gonna immediately FLEE out of fear. No doubt in my mind. One Megalodon far outweighs multiple Orca's together. Experts say that the biteforce of Megalodon was not only the most powerful bite of any animal in history, but it was enough to literally chomp adult whales in half.
How you know that Livyatan was not a match, specially when it have the same size and "power"?
Also, all the dolphins that I have saw killed by shark are relativelly smaller than they attackers, can you show me a document or a study that proves your point?
You say that most animal experts "unanimously" aggred that Carcharocles (Otodus) megalodon was the superior predator, can you show a document or page shows all those statements, from all those experts?
Orcas are very inteligent predators and certainly will avoid large sperm whales, but knowing that sharks are food for them, why you say that they will just "flee"? As far I know, the arise of orcas was other factor of the extinction of the Carcharocles (Otodus) megalodon.
Finally, did you know that the largest whales that existed in the time of Carcharocles (Otodus) megalodon were no larger than 7-8 meters long, maybe up to 10 meters? So that will invalidate your proposal that a giant shark is capable of bite a whale by half, specially if you don't specify the size of the whale.
