There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Saw an interesting post on the lions of timbavati fb group.
The two older Kudyela males seem to have taken over the Singwe pride (the other pride south of the Olifants river that was formerly controlled by the Machatons) and were seen mating with the females. Their half brother the Singwe Male is still lurking around.
"The safari part of the holiday has begun, and boy has it begun well! Spent 2 hours with 4 lions - 2 mating pairs - who not only mated repeatedly but also hunted a bushbuck (unsuccessfully) and had a fight."
"We had 2 pairs of lions mating in front of us 30 minutes into tge drive, not eveb worried about the slightest of movement. And all of the sudden we see this male in the distance, thought he was part of the pride. Meantime he wasn't, so the younger male and female stood up after their romantic moment and moved determined towards him to chase him off"
