Coalitions of Kruger National Park

A magnificent young and healthy male lion near Lubyelubye rocks, Lower Sabie this week. He was contact calling softly as if he was looking for a coalition partner and then he crossed the Sabie river to the north. He has quite a few fighting scars on his lower back and spine area however he looks very healthy and strong...a true survivor!

They are not Not entirely sure of his origins or even if he currently has a coalition partner however our friends at @Big On Wild - Wildlife Videos have recorded sightings of him in the Leeupan area and on the S21 road in the Kruger National Park.
There are currently so many young males/young coalitions in this area and the 2 pride males (Mazithi males Smudge and Fudge) seem to have moved further south east. This region is such a highly sought after territory and it will be interesting to see what transpires over the next few months.
