A lot of young males prominent in the coalitions area. I get the feeling that lion dinamics are way more involved than we think. Thought dominate, kill, take over was the rule, yet a lot of single males
exist in a very crowded area such as southern Kruger. Looks like the current large males are very tolerant towards young males.

Young/nomadic males are hard to be found by dominant males, because they dont roar or scent mark, so unless dominant males bump into young males or find them on a kill, its hard for them to chase them out of their territory. Reply
