What i noticed is, that in Kruger Summer period (~Nov to April) when tempetures are high, with a lot of rain and very hot days, with very dense vegetation and greens, a lot of males are losing a bit of their manes.. 

Now why is that, well prob a bit of everything, hot days so body prob naturaly lose hair to cool themselves, also theres a lot more concentration of insects, parasites, and bugs then in winter times and obiviously more mange or bacteria.. 

If you compare the males mane during winter and now during summer, in majority of males you will see the difference, althrough some males might not get affacted. Reply
