There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

When your day starts with seeing a Lion at 7am. One cold February morning our entire family, including baby niece took a road trip from our retreat home in Gandhinagar to Sasan Gir Forest on the south coast of Gujarat. There are 600 lions and lioness in the district of Junagadh, the only place in the world to see Asiatic Lions in their natural habitat. Our open jeep safari began at 6am and we regretted not carrying quilts from our room. It was freezing and it took forever for the sun to rise. It was pretty hilarious how my sister, husband, me and baby (sitting in the most open part of jeep) were bundled up with our flimsy shawls and hoodies, waiting for these Lions to show up. But when he appeared in our view, it was an exhilarating moment! He casually walked toward our open jeep, checked us out at close quarters and strolled on his morning walk - King Of the Bush Jungle for sure. You can see beautiful, delicate spotted Indian deer in the winter dawn sunlight. Bambi got nothing on them. Swipe to see our accommodation Hunter’s Lodge, now renamed Sinh Sadan Guest House, used during the British colonized India by the kings and Brit officers for hunting. They managed to kill off an entire population, until post Independence, the Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Tourism took effective measures to revive the population back to a healthy number.
