Back in August, two adult Asiatic lions brothers had a fierce duel, reportedly over the only female, near Khambha town of Amreli district, & the dominant one drove away the challenger.

(I've gotten my hands on some pics. so i'm posting it now...)

There's a short bout, but the local who took the photos from another hilltop, kinda..panicked. By the time he gathered the courage to peek again, they were pacing down the slope side-by-side...

The loser was discovered by FD much later, far away from their home-range. He'd left the territory...& the coalition was over.
