There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The asiatic lions were just over a dozen a century ago...And now they are too numerous in this place, in this park. Therefore they seek to occupy new spaces close to the Gir sanctuary. In short all these lions descend from this small dozen individuals in a space now too limited. Diffuse consanguinity ? I would be not surprised...

Famous quote 'All Asiatic lions are descendants of a doze lions' is just a cock and bull story!! Now they are 523+ so i don't think they are in-breed animals if that is so all Siberian Tigers and Sumatran Tigers and West African lions are also in-breed which are lesser than 500. Cool

That squint may be photo angle or 1/2 lions blood line or because of some injury in past or some xyz reason!
