Nullah wali baaghin was the sister of the famous Collarwali from Pench. She gave birth to 11 cubs and died prematurely (suspected poisoning). One of her 3 month old cubs was taken to Kanha and was raised in an enclosure for the next 2 and a half years.

So, this captive raised tiger was translocated to Nauradehi and has given birth to 3 cubs (her code name being N1) sired probably by Kishan (N2) a tiger from Bandhavgarh who was also brought to Nauradehi. There is also a rumour that another male has come to Nauradehi most probably from Panna and therefore this tigress has been keeping her cubs tucked away as they were born in July.

Good news from Mukandra Hills Tiger Reserve this new year, Mt-4 tigress gives birth to cubs

The Mukandra Hills Tiger Reserve has received a good news in the new year. The tigress MT-4 in the reserve has given birth to cubs. Reserve officials have also confirmed this. However, it is not yet known how many the cubs are or where they are. The tigress cubs have not yet come into the camera trap nor have they been sighted. The team of the Reserve is engaged in an attempt to conduct the site of the cubs. The villagers are yet to see the cubs.
The Reserve's field director Anand Mohan had recently confirmed that the tigress was pregnant. Also, there was talk of good news in Mukandra soon. After long speculation, Dr. T Mohanraj, DCF of Reserve has confirmed that MT-4 tigress is a cub.
He said that apart from the tigers of the Reserve from the Department, a team has been deployed to monitor this tiger. Also, surveillance is being done with camera trap and anti poaching e-surveillance system. All the arrangements related to the safety of the cubs are being made.


Mukundara will open for tourist by February
Reserve's field director Anand Mohan said that proposals have been sent to the high officials to open Mukundara for tourists. This year, tourists will be able to see the tigers. According to the guide line of NTCA, entry of tourist will be done in the prescribed four zones. Reply
