There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
"Eyes bigger than her belly? This young female jaguar appeared to have bitten off more than she could chew with this huge jacare caiman crocodile this morning, but her tenacity combined with immense bite force and especially long canines helped her dispatch the reptile without too much trouble. All that remained was dragging the dead weight up the river bank and into the undergrowth."

"A scaly snack. This caiman crocodile would have far outweighed this female jaguar but after killing it with a bite to the base of the skull - jaguars have particularly long canines and a bite force calculated to be greater even than lions & tigers - she proceeded to drag the weighty reptile up the river bank, over a fallen log and into the undergrowth. We estimated the caiman would have tipped the scales at more than 80kg."
