There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

He reported a very interesting incident where A tigress passes nearby from a sleeping (In his field) farmer at night. See the below images and read what He wrote about this incident.

Quote:A tacit approval from the tigress herself
Amarsingh Gurjar is a Village Wildlife Volunteer and a fulltime farmer. After completing his daily chores and VWV work of setting up Camera Traps, he as usual set up his 'Khatiya' (Charpai or Cot / Bed) in his farm. He daily sleeps near his farm to scare off the herbivores like Blue bull, Sambhar Deer and Wild Boars who come to feast on the standing crops. This, he has been doing since he sowed the field.
On 3rd Dec'15, he performed his routine task and went to sleep on his khatiya (Bed) at night around 9:30 PM. Next morning, when he woke up, lot of emotions gripped him. He was scared, amused, elated, relieved panicky all at the same time. What he saw were tigress pugmarks inches away from his bed. His scariness slowly became his curiosity and he followed the pugmarks which led him to the camera trap he had set last night. On checking, he was elated to see the tiger picture captured by the camera at 11.36 PM.
In his words, "Tiger to soongh ke gaya" - Tiger sniffed and went. This event has been one of the most interesting events in the VWV program's one year history. This is like a tacit approval from the tigress herself of the VWV program and a message from tiger-'you are my saviour, I shall not hurt you'. VWV program is supported by TOFT India and many supporters like Subhro and Ishan Dhar

Just stumbled upon this...

The hunter must have the largest pair of balls to sleep within an open field, at night with tigers and other predators prowling about in the open.

Scary thought.
