They're similar at the shoulder but the Rhino is way more robust and longer, it's by far the larger animal. The few I've seen have been huge.
Another striking difference I would say is the width, they may read similar dimension in paper but in 3 dimension rhino has more volume, gaur would look more slender animal in front of a bull rhino's girth
