A male tiger and a young tigress size each other up in Bandhavgarh National Park... what ensued after was one hell of an incredible yet emotional experience.
Just look at the size difference between the two, and believe it or not this is one of the smaller males I have seen in Bandhavgarh. It was an incredible natural history moment, yet a very emotional one for me. A dedicated mother trying to protect her cubs from an intruder... and I’ve know the her for over 6 years, ever since she was a 4 months old cub herself. And the gash on her chest looks very deep... I hope she has recovered and the cubs are safe.
Either way, this is nature and we must let it take its course one way or the other. We should just be silent observers and story tellers.

The tigers identified by the local guides are: Solo Female and The Bamera Son

i thought he was the father,looks like mamu or another male chased him off haven't seen any pics of her cubs yet so hard to say who for sure Reply
