Captive Lion and Tiger weights

He's a good sized cat, but he's also an overweight cat which is obviously much more common in captivity. If his body type resembled his wild counterparts he'd probably be in the 220kg rang I'd estimate. 

This White Tiger that I saw in Vegas is 475lbs or about 215kg 

He is most likely taller than Elijah and probably close in length as well, but he is much more lean but not skinny by any means, but when comparing him to other Tigers I have seen in captivity, he was one of the better looking specimens, much closer to his wild counterparts minus the muscle mass and density you see in the wild.  Maybe the Las Vegas heat plays a roll in that or maybe they are just better about his diet.

This guy on the other hand from Wildlife Waystation is what you see much more commonly with big cats in captivity

A more stocky animal with looser skin flaps and softer physical features. This is usually what I see when I go to most sanctuaries, it's generally the same with Tigers and Lions but occasionally there are few Cats that look really good. Reply
