I got now new reply from Givskud zoo and the numbers you got were right, when I got first reply it was more vague, but they confirmed now that information what you told.

Here is quote from the email I got:

"Since we spoke last I have dug up some numbers. Apparently Tau had been weighed in 2001 to 265 kg. I don’t know how, but it was in relation to his transport to the zoo.  Nkosi weighed 270 on the day he died. He was an older male, so he might have been a bit overweight. "

It was good, that you had asked too, now it´s double checked then. I asked still some extra information, maybe some more details are possible to get one day. Very impressive lions, no question about it. Reply
