There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Marlon du Toit:" A predator with no rival, a purpose built animal unlike any other. Leopards will forever capture my imagination. I am in awe of them. Silent. Swift. Savage. They are all of this and more.
This image was taken a few days ago - a male leopard caught & killed a duiker in the early evening on a cloudy, rainy day. It took the kill up a tree but could not find a comfortable branch on which he could eat. He then brought the carcass back down to the ground. This also illustrates the power of modern day cameras like the Sony A9ii & Sony 70-200 f2.8 GM lens used here. Not an easy photo to take by any means, but certainly helped by what Sony’s achieved through their technology. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. "
