There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Finding myself very impressed with my Canon 80D image quality. This image was taken before the sun had properly risen, in Kenya's Mara region and I was forced to use very high iso sensitivity settings to achieve the shutter speed I needed. It seems the best crop-sensor (APS-C) Canon camera in low light to me so far. Of course I would prefer to use my full-frame Canon bodies in such situations but it is nice to see how good the less expensive bodies are getting. The big male lion was on the move early, and on the edge of his territory, in search of females. Captured with Canon 80D and EF 100-400L ff4.5-5.6 IS ii. Shutter speed 1/200sec at f5.6. Shot in raw and some noise reduction applied in processing. Handheld.
