There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara

The pride we saw a couple of times was called the Rongai Pride. These two cubs I call "the twins" were the youngest cubs. The male that was part of the pride was Longface. He was attacked by four males and fled. He did survive but is on his own. One cub was killed. It was a different one than these two. The female that is leading the pride is Napejo. She was scared when we saw her and now has other wounds from fighting. She and two other females are staying away from males and taking care of 7 cubs. They have to stay away from males because the males would attack the cubs.
