There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

TBT July 2006 - these are 2/3 former Marsh Pride males Clawed and Pavarotti, their 3rd brother was Romeo. These great pictures were taking 1,5 year before they ultimately chased out Notch from Marsh area along with his 5 sons and took over this well-known pride in late 2007 - as BBC's Big Cat Diaries proved it - and then ruled the area for more than 4 years until early 2012 when the 4 young Musketeers finally took over from them.
They sired a lot of cubs with Marsh lionesses and many of them were made it to adulthood such as 2 of their male offsprings Matajo and Hasani who then became Halftail's fathers, not even mentioned about the 4'seasons girls from 2008 who later formed the current Topi Plains Pride (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter).

In the meantime, Pavarotti has disappeared for unknown reasons (there were so many human-wildlife conflicts as well at the time, which occured at least 2 of the Marsh lionesses death Red and Lispy unfortunately so this could have been the root cause in his case as well). Thus from late 2000's and early 2010's only Romeo and Clawed were present as dominant force of the pride and when the Musketeers took over.

While they were Marsh pride dominants these males also sired the legend coalition of Bob&Ziggy Marley in Oloololo pride who started as 4 Oloololo males then only 2 of them remained later. These are the males who sired former Hammerkop males (Haile, Loki, Mdogo and Osidai) and Mrefu as well, so Mdogo and Osidai are also their straight male offsprings among the current living lions in the Mara. (It is a good question if Halftail and Mrefu still around)
