There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Okonkera just turned 2 or is just about to turn 2.

Dude do you know how many lions disappeared in MYF area? Both Floppy and Jagged Ear males gone. Playa males gone. MYF area is one of the worse HWC areas in the Mara. Lorkulop was speared in the Rongai - MYF area. Matter of fact theirs is nowhere in Kenya that a lion will not be speared or poisoned for taking cattle from the Massai, same goes for the Serenghetti in Tanzania.
I’m not saying nothing will happen to him, ofcourse it’s possible, what I’m saying is legally they can’t do anything to him. Now if he had wondered into a farmers land or whatever, it would be a complete opposite story, reserves have been known to put down lions for escaping and killing cattle before.

At issue is that they aren't escaping the reserves, the cattle are being illegally brought into them by the herders, nothing is being done about it, and when the lions kill them, the herders kill the lions, by spear, poison, or snares.
