There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

As far as the Mara there are actual settlements in the Reserve. For example the areas of Ololoolo, Lookout, Maja Ya Fisi, Olkiombo (Fig Tree), Sopa, and possibly even Black Rock area.  These are Massai cattle ranchers. They graze their cattle throughout the Mara. This isn't even considering the Conservancies like Lemek, Enonkishu, Olchorro, etc.... If you look how small some prides are for so long thats why,  for example the only 1 or 2 small prides in Lemek.

Now not to mention when the Massai children turn, I think 15, and get circumcised, they have to go out and kill/hunt a lion. Its a tradition. Also they use the mane as a headress in some ceremonies like weddings, etc...  There is no such settlement in Topi pride territory, Rekero, and Paradise territory as you can see the size of the pride and the males live without bother from humans there. The famous Marsh have cattle settlements there; Logol and 2 lionesses took 2 cattle a few months ago. It was shown on FB.

As for the cattle a lot of the guides and Rangers own them in these areas. The cattle owners are hired as Rangers, guides, trackers so they can learn new ways to see these animals as sources of income instead of killing them.

So most resecnt is Olekiti and Olerai( the biggest lion in the Mara and most gorgeous and impressive). There are cattle in Acatia Pride Territory. Thats why the 4 Ex Offbeat boys came into Acatia Pride territory and then abandoned the pride. Oelkiti and Olerai were missing already. Now Halftail and Logol are moving in.

Since covid bullcrap the populations of people and cattle have grown. Now we understand the majority of lions missing and killed are not from other lions but humans.

Maradadi, Olerai, Olekiti, Notch2, 2 Tears, Floppy Ear, Lipstick2, Black Rocker brother Oloisiado, Frank.... these are just some famous rescent lions to disappear. We have to question this every time we hear another lion go missing.

Same in Serenghetti and I learned there is a settlement right next to here owned by the Saudis (i forget the name).  So who's to say they don't have excursions into Serenghetti to get their lions the ricrich people own and show in videos.

I was told not to talk about this or ask questions on social media. The members and others do not accept this or just won't admit it or talk about it. I think this is bull crap.  Its a terrible feeling sitting here in the U.S. and not being able to help or do anything about this situation and then wake up one morning only to read another beautiful male lion disappears or a whole pride,  like most rescently Oloololo pride, is killed.

I hate to say it, believe or not, people who involve those dirty things will be judged, either them or their later generations are gonna pay the prices,  just a matter of time. It is not superstition, just the way it is.
