There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

As far I know, jaguars had not been captured or radiocollared in Guatemala, there is no study about them in this form, I will try to confirm with CONAP.
Probably that jaguar is from Belize, which as far I know only 8 specimens were radiotagged by the late Dr Allan Rabinowitz. Probably there are new captures in these days.

This is the male "Ek Chuah" or "#330", the longest (note heaviest) of the jaguars captured by Dr Allan. It measured 2032 mm in total length (1422 mm in head-body) and weighed 56.7 kg (Rabinowitz, 1986).
