About #99: good find ! I remember this documentary I saw 20 years ago. It occured in the Masai Mara if I am not wrong, because we could also see a Masai tribe defending their cattle against hyenas during the night.

This black-maned lion was indeed very powerful because he defended victoriously the killed prey against 4 nomadic lions but it was added that his days at the head of this pride were counted. What can a lone lion, even beautiful and powerful, against 4 nomadic lions ? The time is against him. Reply
