My photo. The male is 6yo. He is tall and I would say that he is over 200 kg, so definitely huge. The lioness is of average size. Sometimes it is said that barbary lions are the biggest subspecies. I have seen 6 males and 6 - 8 females. 1 male, the very tall Simon (see above) is impressive, but probably not so heavy, because his body is cheetah - like. His 3 sons (this is one of them) are tall (but not as tall as him) but more robust. Another male (not related, at least not closely) was of average weight (my estimate...around 180 kg). And another male was definitely small. And lionesses? All of them were of average size, if not even smaller. So...
