There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
is it me or is the southern pride lioness the only pride that doesn't allow new pride male taking over not to kill cubs that are sired by different males? it seems that when the kruger males took over they kept the Toulon cubs safe and when the freddy was expelled by the sandriver males they didn't allow them to kill the cubs and when the fourway males came in same thing again! and when the charlestons came in they didn't kill the fourway cubs and now the charlestons cubs their still keeping them safe! these females are very good moms! the other pride that are really good moms are the castelon/ximguwne moms were very protective of their kids even to the point where she sacrificed herself to save her kids from the othawa females and majingalane males and the tsalala females are very good at protecting their cubs to where the both tailess lioness leaves their natal area to raise the subadults to matuarity, and off course the mahgeni pride who were able to raise 2 litters who probably inherited the same trait as their mom and grandma(original, 2nd tailless) the Charleston lioness is also on the list of remarkable ladies! any thoughts on any other great moms or worst moms out there?
