There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I was more talking about in the general sense. Not in that specific case.
It takes a lot of food to keep a male around. But if the male is willing to defend them against other male lions. Its worth it.
If he isnt however, then the relationship can become parasitic pretty fast.
Though that was more based on the idea that he was more or less letting Nhenha join in to eat. which apparently wasnt the case.
It seems now it is more likely that Skorro never noticed him or did rebuke him. Though didnt want risking losing his opportunity to feed on the kill while chasing Nhenha away properly.
So Nhenha is now sticking close by. Hoping that eventually Skorro and the pride move on and leave him some scraps.
Which is clever, but also riskfull. Not only may Skorro choose to chase him of. The kill may also attract hyenas and other trouble for him.
