There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
This morning we decided to head out looking for a leopard and cub around the Matshipiri River. But while tracking the cub, we came across a male leopard (Accipiter male). He was resting under a tree before slowly making his way towards a thicket.
Word got out on the radio that the lion cubs that we had seen yesterday was spotted, and so we made our way to that sighting. But this time 4 younger cubs were in the presence of the 3 older cubs. 2 adults (Kambula Pride) were also resting with them.
Not very far up the Sand River we entered into a sighting with the sub-adults of the pride (Kambula Pride). They were resting on the banks of the river in the shade as the day started to heat up. After viewing them for a bit, a herd of elephants made their way into the river for a drink and so we left the sleeping lions to go view the elephants.
