Hey all- new here. Just wanted to see if anyone can help me understand what's going on with the Styx pride. Of all the subadults they had in 2017 (I think it was around 10) did 8 of them pass away? So now it's just 2 adult females, and 1 young male + 1 young female? And does anyone know how some/all of them died?
That's really tragic for a pride that already lost their entire 2016 litter to mange and had the 2015 litter killed...
Thanks for any information you may have.
Somewhen in 2018 Torchwood pride pushed into territory of Styx pride - northern Mala Mala. There were couple of interactions between two prides. Torchwood was much larger pride and so Styx pride was taking worst end of any interactions between those two pride. I do not remember exact amount of loses among Styx pride, but they did lost some members by that time. It was two members or so. Then they decided to leave their territory holded for years and went nomadic. Through nomadic stage this pride also lost some members, most likely to an alteractions with other lions in the arena, Now from the generation sired by Birmingham males there are two females and one male left. Pride also has two older lionesses and so there are currently 4 females in the pride.
"The pride has 5 females, yea? How many were from the Mapogos? 2? And one from a Birmingham Male. And 2 from Majing.?? "
There are 3 females sired by eastern Mapogos, 2 sired by Majingis and 1 sub adult sired by Birminghams.
