There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
I haven't heard any word that the younger lionesses in the Mhangeni Pride have given birth. Is this true? Seems the older ones are breeding again. The younger ones would be 4.5 to 5 years old now....high time for their first litter. Sassy had her first at around 3.7 years old. These would be the Majingalane daughters. The pride has 5 females, yea? How many were from the Mapogos? 2? And one from a Birmingham Male. And 2 from Majing.??
I'm not indicating that they are infertile. Each lioness has their own timetable for having cubs. Some could be late bloomers.... Even though the Othawa Male has been with the pride for years now, they haven't bred with him yet. Just curious if someone knows anything about this? I believe one of them has at least mated with him since I saw footage of that....but such an occurrence was quite some months ago.
And what about the Sparta female and her cub? We have heard nothing about them for too long almost. She was getting old and her cub was very vulnerable, younger even then the Tsalala cub.
