There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
So, apparently the 3 Tumbela males that are beginning to conquer western Sabi Sands could potentially be 3 of the 5 Nharu males who had been missing since last year! Whisker pattern matches at least on the male with the almost closed eyelid.
We are still trying to confirm the ID of the 3rd Tumbela male. A brief story of the Nharu males. The Nharu males began as a coalition of 6 members, they were born into the Nharu pride of Manyeleti which at the time consisted of 3 adult lionesses, all 3 of them are sisters of the Birmingham boys and originated from the Birmingham pride. Their fathers are the 2 Thanda Impi males "Skorro" and "Sizananni". They were born around 2016, on 3 litters consistint of 9 cubs in total, 6 males and 3 females, all 9 of them survived. 5 of the 6 males went nomadic and weren't seen again (until this amazing discovery were at least 2 of them are alive), the 6th male stayed behind and joined the Mbiri pride and his half brothers. This is amazing! I am so relieved to see them. Credits to Tintswalo Safari Lodge and Neil Jennings
