There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Weren't they around 2 years old when they were ousted? B. Boy was definitely over 2 and the others were just about that age, maybe give or take 1-2 months. Even with all 12 supporting each other, just about every single one died except for a female that was reluctantly accepted back into the pride months later. Initially, I was shocked....but then I checked their ages and they weren't all terribly young, but probably not the ideal age to be on their own yet....but still, you'd think at least a few of the males would have made it, helping each other out. Perhaps they had other issues going on besides being rather young to suddenly become nomads.
Problem with Mhanghenis was that they got mange, they where doing just fine for almost half a year before they got mange, after they got mange they died of in a span of few months..
I didnt say its guarantee that they will survive.. Theres many other factors besides hunting and feeding, like danger from other lions, hyenas etc..
And definitely its not ideal age to be left alone, but im just saying that lions at that age can hunt and feed themself..
